Our German Rottweiler puppies are a part of our big happy family. They love to herd ducks and goats, plus they get along well with the cats. There are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. They have very unique personalities that you cannot help but fall in love with! These magnificent dogs will steal your heart with their comical antics and sweet personalities. Take a look and hold on to your heart. Being raised underfoot of such a big, caring and loving family ensures proper socialization and training. They develop personalities just like a person would. We take so much pride in each and every one of
our German Rottweiler puppies.

What Makes Us So Special.

I am very proud as to how we raise our puppies. They are so delicate and fragile, impressionable and special. We do not lock them in cages and forget about them. We do not ignore them til they are ready to go to a new home. We love our puppies and have so much fun with each litter. My kids cry each time one leaves still! When a litter is expected, mother is kept in her 'bed' crate in the room with us while we closely monitor her actions, temp, and mood. When her temp drops, or her actions tell us she is close she is moved into the bathroom with a special delivery bed lined with clean puppy pads. Puppy pads are changed after the birth of each puppy to ensure the pups are kept clean and sanitary. I sit with the mother, pet her, soothe her, and try to comfort her as best I can through her labor and delivery. I help clean each puppy, which helps imprint them to the human touch and smell. This is an important step in raising nice friendly social puppies. I also stay with mom and pups and make sure they stay warm, and eat, and be sure they are strong etc. Once labor is over, Mom and pups get a special cozy, padded bed. The bathroom becomes her new 'space'. If we have more then one mother, Moms are kept in a nice large wire crate, next to my bed. Heat lamps or heating pads are used when needed in the winter to help keep puppies warm and cozy. In the summer we run our air so that our home doesn't get to hot and for the dogs. Fresh food and water is there for her and a puppy pad is put out 'just in case' she can't wait to go outside. The puppies get held many times a day, everyday. They know us by smell at first, then they start the hear us, then eventually they see us. They can start to wag their tails before the ears and eyes open. They usually start to wag their tails when we come in and pet them. As they grow they get used to all kinds of sounds of the home. Here are a few they are exposed to : the radio, phone, Vaccum, other dogs barking, kids talking, laughing, toys being played with, the door bell, chairs sliding on the floor, water running, doors opening, and so much more. This is all very important imprinting as the puppy will be used to the everyday noises of the home. They come to accept all of these sounds as normal. That makes them stronger, friendlier, more outgoing, confident, and makes the transition to your home easier since all they need to get used to is your new family! Kenneled dogs don't get this. They don't know what a 'family' sounds like. That makes them scared and timid, and fearful to explore new things. That is why I feel our puppies are well socialized and off to a good emotional start. Each puppy will be wormed on and vaccinated before they leave my home. That gets them off to a very HEALTHY start. They will come with a shot record, a puppy pack (food and instruction booklet). They will also see a vet who will carefully inspect them to be sure they are healthy and ready for their new homes. We also offer a 1 year guarantee on all puppies and a lifetime of support for each. I care very much for our little fur babies. So when you write to inquire about a puppy do not be insulted if I write back and ask you a few questions too. I hope you enjoy my site. If you have any suggestions on how I could make it better feel free to drop me a note. I am always open for feedback.

Shipping

Is it really safe for the puppy?

I receive many inquiries on the process of shipping a puppy--individuals often wonder if it is safe and how it works.

Won't he/she be scared? How long does it take?

Won't it be difficult for the puppy having to be all alone in a crate for so long?

This is how I explain the shipping process to individuals to help them feel more at ease with the process of getting a puppy:

Shipping a Puppy Is Very safe: See Below Details

Shipping a puppy by itself to a new location always sounds cruel and embarrassing, but actually I think it is harder for us than the puppy(s). With my many years of shipping experience, I know for a fact that all of the pups are well taken care of. So if you stop and think about it, the airlines are not going to mistreat the puppy(s) for fear of lawsuit and customer dissatisfaction. I tape puppy(s) food and feeding instructions to the top of the crate and put frozen water in the crate, so it will gradually thaw out for the puppy(s) and the puppies are offered food along the ride.

The average flight is approximately 4 to 6 hours. I always ask about any delays or layovers and know the exact times and departures of the flights, so I know where the pup is and am able to give you the information as well.

The pup will arrive the same day as it is sent--usually a few hours. I have a big fluffy bed of shredded newspapers in the crate for the puppy(s) to nestle in and usually a pig's ear chew (they love them), and a toy or sock with my scent on it--to help the pup feel secure

What about shipping in the winter –is it not too cold?

If you decide on a puppy, I will guarantee -as I have for 16 yrs--that he/she will arrive safe and sound. Puppies can be shipped safely between 20 and 85 degrees--AA rules. All puppies ride in the belly of the plane where the temperature is kept at a comfortable 70 degrees--same as for the passengers--and they are the last on and first off the plane. Shipping during this time of year is completely safe and there is no problem so we need not to be afraid about that. Just like a person getting on a flight to go meet their relatives and/or friends for the holidays, shipping a puppy is very similar-and probably even a little easier. The only thing different about this time of year is that the airlines can be strict on the minimum temperature at each location (which is really good for the puppy(s) even though the plane is always kept at 70 degrees. I believe it is mainly for their liability and protection. Likewise, in the summertime--they will not ship if temperatures are too hot along the way. If this is the case, we will just wait for the next best day to ship or ship earlier or later in the day to combat the hot/cold part of the day.

NOTE.. Most shippers specialised in shipping pets will use a temperature regulation crate called an electronic crate.

These type of crates are used anytime since they can regulate the temperature to the one best for the puppy(s) travel

What is involved in the shipping process?

Since I am 30 minutes from my nearest airport and do not charge extra for delivery like most breeders, I try to make each trip count as much as possible by taking multiple puppies at a time while striving to accommodate to your specified times. Therefore it helps me greatly if you can specify multiple times/days you (or any other person with ID) would be available to pick up the puppy. So if you are interested in having one of the pup after all amounts have been received, I am able to book the pup. I will need to know the day(s) and time(s) you are able to pick up the puppy(s) your nearest airport, and your home address and phone number.

Usually, I can only book a flight three days in advance so they are aware of the temperatures for shipping. After I have booked the pup, I will call and/or email you with the flight number times, and location where the puppy(s) is to be picked up. All you need to do is pick up the pup at your airport--taking a couple forms of identification, like a driver's license or insurance card and the airway bill number that I give you. Then I ask individuals to contact me as soon as possible after they receive their puppy as I'm very anxious to hear about the puppy--if everything went ok --what you think--and any other questions you might have.

It seems lengthy in explanation but it actually goes very fast!

What is the normal Shipping cost?

Most of the times I like to use pets airline as they have provided me with quality service. International airports are often the best bet, but I would be glad to check out your local airport to see if shipping is possible. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii also available at select times and may cost slightly more. I am only able to ship within the US, Canada & Puerto Rico at this time, although I have had individuals to fly in from other countries to pick up a puppy(s). Shipping has been running approximately $150 which includes, a normal dog crate and health certificate. If 2 puppies are being purchased at the same time, from the same litter, they can be flown together in a larger crate for $250.

When sending me your airports address, please send 2 different airports that you would be willing to travel to pick up the puppy(s).

What our puppies are fed.....

Our puppies are raised on Nutri Source small/medium breed Chicken and Rice Puppy a quality 4 star kibble sold at many vet clinics and pet stores. We always suggest the use of a quality vitamin--2 of which we have had good results with are NuVet and Pfizer Pet Tabs Plus. Puppies are also fed on the dry puppy food. We suggest when getting your puppy to feed them of a morning and again of an evening in order to be able to monitor when they will need to go potty. You can start with 1- 2 cups of feed each time--if they clean up the food then add a bit more until you get to the correct amount of feed that your puppy will consume.

Pet insurance

Pet insurance: types of policy

There are four main types of pet insurance, each with different costs and restrictions

A pet insurance policy will cover medical expenses if your cat or dog becomes ill or is injured in an accident. However, it won't cover routine visits to the vet or events that you could have anticipated, such as routine vaccinations or neutering.

Below we explain the most important features of a pet insurance policy and the different ways they can pay out.

Pet insurance policies reviewed Which's experts have analyzed and rated more than 70 cat and dog insurance policies so that you can find the perfect cover for your beloved pet.

And thousands of real customers have rated pet insurers for customer service to help you choose a provider that gives you top-notch service along with a great deal.

Which? members can log in to read our reviews.

Pet insurance: Vet fees The most important feature of a pet insurance policy is the vet fee cover and how this pays out. Vet fee cover typically range from as low as $600 to as much as $12,000.

Pet insurance policies fall into two main categories, lifetime cover policies and non-lifetime cover policies:

Pet insurance: lifetime cover

These types of policy offer the most comprehensive levels of cover, paying our for on-going illnesses for the lifetime of the pet, but tend to become quite expensive as the level of vet fee cover increases.

Per condition per year lifetime cover provides a maximum cover limit per condition, which resets per year. You can claim for more than one condition per year

Annual life time cover provides a maximum overall cover limit that resets each year.

Both annual and per condition per year policies will cover ongoing illnesses year on year, so long as you keep paying the premiums.

Per condition per year' policies may offer superior cover at a similar price to annual policies so run quotes from a variety of different providers.

Note: If you decide to opt for a 'per condition per year' pet insurance policy, double check with the provider that cover for each condition renews each year. If not, then it is a 'per condition' policy which is a non-lifetime cover policy (see below).

Pet insurance: non-lifetime cover These policies limit how much they pay per condition before it's excluded.

Per condition non-lifetime cover: This cover pays a limited amount per condition with no time limit, but once the amount has been used up the condition is then excluded from any future payouts. If lifetime policies are too expensive, these are the next best option.

Time-limit per condition non-lifetime cover: This will have both a per condition limit and time limit of typically a 12 months before the condition is excluded. These policies tend to be the cheapest, but offer the lowest level of cover.

Cheap pet insurance: accident only and time limit policies Accident-only pet insurance policies.

These policies cover your pet for only accidents and exclude cover for illnesses from the policy entirely. Although these policies maybe cheap in comparison to standard pet insurance policies they may turn out to be a false economy. A recent survey of Which? members about their claims history over a two year period showed that 70% of claims were for illnesses.

If you are on a budget and considering an accident only policy, its worth comparing some quotes from cheaper standard policies in our cat and dog insurance reviews on the off chance you get a good deal for your pet that covers illness.

Time-limit per condition pet insurance policies Having some form of pet insurance in place even if it offers a low level of cover, such as a non-lifetime; time-limit per condition policy, may still take some of the impact out of an unexpected and expensive vet bill.

Before choosing one of these policies, make sure you've run quotes with alternative types of cat and dog insurance policies with no time-limit to make sure you aren't missing out on a better deal. As our reviews show, cost does not always correspond to the cover level. Additionally, other risk factors such as where you live in the US, in a urban area or country can make a difference to what you are quoted.

Tip - if you opt for a per condition policy with a 12-month limit, putting some money into a best rate savings account may act as a buffer for any illnesses that persist or become chronic illnesses.

Pre-existing conditions not covered with new pet insurance policies

Its important to note that no pet insurance policy on the market will cover pre-existing conditions. This means if you have made a claim for your cat or dog on a policy, and decide to switch provider further down the line the new provider will exclude that condition from the policy. For information see pet insurance pitfalls and checklist.
