The only action victims can take is to file reports with their local police and their country's cyber-crime agencies such as IC3 here in the states. Other than that, there's not much you can do to "take action against them". That is for the authorities. If you have information about the scam, post the information here with proof of scam, make sure to remove your personal information. This will help warn others and may prevent more victims.

====================================
PLEASE DO NOT TELL A SCAMMER HE IS REPORTED HERE!

We have a police file and the amount of money involved was substantial enough for the police here to sent the file to Interpol, but in the scheme of things it seems too little for Interpol to act. I also filed with the IC3 Centre to no avail, probably because we nor the fraudsters are based in the US.
However, we could take perhaps legal action for 'domains by proxy' to reveal the owner of the website or the banks used by the fraudsters to reveal the account owners and go from there. IT profs might be able to reveal their IP address.
We can't bear the cost alone so we are trying to find other victims, if any. Losing our retirement savings is bad but an even worse shock has been the experience of dealing with such mean and ruthless creatures.
It is my quest to find out who and where they are rather than doing nothing about it. We'll leave no stone unturned and any suggestions would be appreciated.
We've dealt with five fraudsters, probably Canadian nationals, operating from a home(?) in Asia where an older man lives and picks up the phone. They seem to have a background in finance and banking but are 'experienced' fraudsters.
----
If these fraudsters don't face any repercussions than the Internet is a criminal's paradise and it might be tempting for scores of other people to 'have a go'. However it seems that awareness is also increasing, 10% of people contacting police have already paid to the fraudsters, down from 60% a few years ago.

p.s. I am happy to publish proof of our ordeal but don't see an option to upload or attach a document, let me know.

I am sorry to hear that you are a victim of this crime. These criminals probable registered the domains using false information and any information obtained from the registrar would probably be useless in an investigation.

Please post the emails or other information that ask for the money to be transferred to them. Include all email addresses and telephone numbers used in this scam. This information will help others avoid losing money to this scam.
Be sure to remove your personal information before posting.

It is ALWAYS a scam

While boiler room scams are a global phenomenon - involving parties all around the world - the Economic Frauds website (see my signature) believes that the biggest and best are controlled from Ontario, Canada!

Be aware of the following pattern KFM Investment Group and other investment scammers often follow:
--------------------
You get phone calls and emails in which they promise to look after your money and advice you to buy shares in NYSE-listed 'blue chip' companies they actually don't have access to, see underneath:

The scam plan continues with advice to invest in a smaller, fake, company for which they have created a website. KFM investment Group created the fake business TRVSystems.com.

Not long after you've made this second investment you get another call in which you are advised to invest more because 'the quota has not been reached and they won't be able to sell your shares'. You are told that other investors have been able to come up with more money and so should you. No money left? Borrow!
-----------------------
People who fall victim to these shrewd tactics might face serious financial difficulties.
