My son is young 22, and has bad credit due to over due cell phone bills, and a credit card. He was trying to pay off these bills now that his GF is expecting their first child, (responsible thing) He thought he would try the internet,
He found this site that lead him to Brookside Financial Investments. He filled the on line forms out and sent in. He was told he was approved, he asked for 10,000 loan that would be good to pay off bills and do some work around his house he rents from his GF family to help out. Well with out asking me (his Mother) they asked him to send fees up front by Western Union. Since he is young and not street smart he though that was normal. He sent them his pay 600.00 western union, they asked him for 400.00 more he called us, that is when we got involved and told him it was a scam, we contacted our local police in Ontario Canada, to report, i also wrote an email to BBB of New York to warn them.
We have tried calling the 1-866-827-5356 # WHICH ONLY is an ANSWERING machine comes, and they call you back they say.
They told us they were sending the funds back to my son it has been 4 days and i am sure we will never see it again.
I have emailed [email protected] several times. got nowhere. But I will continue to call and plug up their phone lines, and if they pay their toll free line I will make 600.00 worth of calls and cost them time dealing with me, so that they can not scam another young person with no life skills.
I will make it my duty to warn everyone i can on the internet and on social media. I suggest you do the same. Police and politicians have to stop these places from taking advantage of people young and old.
Thanks for listening and if you know of any other agents I can contact to warn of this scam please let me know.
