Scams offering fake Au Pair positions
#10882 by AlanJones Mon Jun 22, 2009 6:20 am
The following email was received in response to a listing on CraigsList, looking for Au Pair work. I am not sure what the scam is yet as he doesn't seem to want you to travel to him, but it is a scam.

Hello,
I am Henry Macaulay.
I will be moving over with my two kids, their names are Sally and
Albert and they are 5 and 3 years old respectively. They mean so much
to me and since their mom is late,i'll be needing the services of a
nanny to help take care of them while i am at work and social
functions.
I would want you to state the conditions for taking up this job and
that includes your wages, mode of payment, time you'll be available and
if you'll be availabale over the weekends,if you chosse to live in our
live out.
Give me a response also including your resume, crb check, personal phone
number and physical mail address that you reside in presently, criminal
record and any other information that i might be needing.
I hope to read from you soon.
Bye.
Henry

Notice the poor grammar. Also he says "I will be moving over" - moving over where? He doesn't know where I am.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
