I have been investigating and think perhaps this site may help you sort out some of the obvious scam nanny jobs.

http://www.4nannies.com/info/nanny-scams.cfm

They do list quite a few, but bear in mind that because a name or an email address is not on the list, it does not necessary mean they are therefore legitimate.

I also wished to mention the very generous and unrealistic weekly wage offered in the above mail.

When it comes to deciding whether a job offer is a scam or not doing the Maths (or Math if your American) is usually a good indicator (although not always).

a pocket fee of £70 a day. Seven days in a week so 70x7=£490 a week pocket money plus a wage of £750 a week.

Weekly earnings 490+750= £1240

52 weeks a year assuming they are giving you paid leave £1240x52

Your yearly income for being an Au Pair would be (1240x52=)£64,480. In US $ that works out at about $90,711 per annum.

The Mean Average yearly income for Child Care Workers in the US is $19,670 (source: http://www.bls.gov/oes/2007/may/oes_nat.htm#b39-0000) so $90,711 isn't a realistic salary. It is too good to be true, hence it is.
