So I came across an apartment in a german housing site called "wg-gesucht.de". Attached the link below^^
(Deutsche Übersetzung unten)

https://www.wg-gesucht.de/wg-zimmer-in- ... 31728.html

I am a little unsure, about whether this is a scam or not, because- 1. I never really mentioned anything about the languages I speak or anything related, just my name, age, etc etc and 2. my messages were all in German and not english but then I get a reply on that site, where the person told me to contact them on whatsapp, so they can talk more about the flat and that's what I did. I sent them a message and however I got a reply in English. But I never really spoke in english or mentioned anything. I might sound really paranoid, but well I'm just 19 and since I am away from my parents, I've gotta handle all of this by myself, so no harm in being sure of it. And it's not like I'm a native, so things work differently from my home country. So yeah, then I asked for the remaining details and a viewing appointment. But the person suggested to speak on call first and then go through a viewing process.

I questioned myself that is it because they don't speak german? But then, they've been working here for 11 years. The ad and everything is in german too so why english now? and my german might not be the best but the sentences that I said were correct grammatically too.

The reason why I am being paranoid is because, someone tried to scam me before, and it was the same. I never said anything in english and suddenly I get a reply in English and turns out that, that person was a scammer.

https://www.wg-gesucht.de/wg-zimmer-in- ... 31728.html

The photo has no matches on Google image search or tineye, that's good news.
The property appears to be suspended at the moment, as at 12/12/22. That's not good.
The airbnb scam avoidance information is well worth reading

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/3059

Stick to their guidelines and things should work out OK. Don't pay direct or by any other method that isn't via airbnb, Best not communicate with renters other than via airbnb.
