Hello Disgusted2015.

Yes, this is a scam. $2000 monthly for just checking your email and being available is a lot.

If you received a check frim the scammer, it would be a fake one - when you cash it, and send the money to the scammer, it'll take days or weeks, even, before the bank notices. The best thing to do is to ignore it and keep looking.

Could you please post an email address, phone numbers or websites this scammer has been using?

Good luck with your jobhunting - but be careful, if you are unsure if an offer is scam or not, you can check with us again and we will be more than happy to help. :)

Thank you for sharing it.

Aol.com is a free email service, I cant see a photographer that is in the field for 23 years and is teaching "his unique style" using a free email and not having their personal website where they update their portfolio. If you recieve job offers from free email addresses (such as aol.com, gmail, yahoo, etc.) always be extra careful.

Sometimes, scammers can set up fake websites, along with email to give their fake company some credibility, so be aware of that too.

Typical personal assistant scam. Note the difference between "I have been a photographer..." (copied from the real photographer's writing, but the sentence immediately before appears to have been stuck on by the scammer) and "This position is home-based..." (written by the scammer, it shows that he is African).

Disgusted 2015: I was scammed by receiving a check and sent the money. My bank contacted me a day later telling me it was a bad check. I was lucky because I could have sent to jail for money laundering.

That was not written by a lawyer from New Zealand. It was written by a scammer from West Africa. What's his email address?
