Dear ,

We are very pleased to offer you a Contract position as Cruise Staff on the P&O Cruise Line called Pacific Pearl based on the Following terms and Conditions:

1. Position:
You are appointed to the position of Cruise Staff on the P&O Cruise Line named Pacific Pearl, and in this capacity, you will report directly to the Department Manager.

You are expected to be physically present on or later than 04 of September 2015 and your start date in the th th position will be 07 of September 2015 and the end date will be 06 of September 2017.

Your salary and allowances are reviewed yearly, you shall be on Board for the first 3 months of your contract, after which you shall take a month vacation and return after one month. This routine Continues after every 3 months on board you spend a month off until the end of your 2 years contract and you would be paid your complete salary during your vacation period.

You are expected to work for at least 3 Months and inform this cruise Line in a well written formal letter, at least 15 days in advance if you wish to cancel your contract or quit at any time before the end date of your contract. Your salary, entitlement and other allowances would be paid to you adequately.

2. Remuneration:

Your base salary per month is $4,700 “Four Thousand Seven Hundred United States Dollars” Your salary is payable once a month at month end in accordance with the P&O Cruise Line Ltd Standard payroll practices.

Your hours of work are based on the normal operating hours of the P&O Cruise Line Ltd and are expected to be for 7 hours in a day, one day off every week and you are entitled to $105 USD weekly allowance.

3. Benefits and Pension:

As a contract employee, you will be eligible to participate in P&O Cruise Line Ltd benefit plans for employee’s in- scope of P&OC. Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), Legal Insurance, Free Accommodation, Short & Long Term Disability, Free feeding, Air travel en-route and homeward bound, Free laundry Service, Reduced cruise rates for family and friends, Fitness club discounts.

4. Vacation:

If you perform well during your first year, you will be assessed and retained as a permanent staff of P&O international and you will be eligible to promotion.

However vacation should be taken at such time or times as are mutually convenient to you and this Cruise Line. Please note that carry over of unused vacation is not encouraged, and should be discussed with your Department Manager.

5. Professional Allowance:

In addition, once you become a permanent staff, you are eligible to receive an Annual Accountable Professional Development Account in the amount of $4,000 to support your on-going career development needs.

6. Assessment Period:

We will review your progress in the position on a regular basis and provide you with regular feedback. We will be in a position to confirm continued employment upon successful completion of your contract.

7. Effective Date:

The terms of this offer shall come into effect on your first day of employment with the P&O Cruise Line which is September 07, 2015.

8. Accommodation:

Your accommodation on board will be a Standard size single room on the third floor of the ship. You will enjoy a standard size bed, sitting area, private bathroom, refrigerator, closed circuit TV, radio and phone, internet and a table desktop computer.

9. Food & Dinning:

You are entitled to 3 meals per day at designated times, however you can have a snack or a drink at anytime. You can be rest assured that our kitchen is well equipped with varieties and the meals are prepared by world class chefs, and they meet the international hygiene standard.

In the dinning you will typically find a well-dressed buffet or have the opportunity to order from a menu. A trainee waiter will take your order. He or she will work very hard to make you feel like royalty as their promotions depends on your recommendation. During weekends you are allowed to place meal orders from your room.

10. Other Information:

* We shall provide you with the Air ticket to Australia for the training irrespective of your location but you must notify us at least 2 weeks before your start date on where you wish to fly from.

* You are entitled to a month vacation after every 3 months on board and this vacation must be limited to two selected country of your choice where you shall indicate upon your arrival. e.g your home country or any other country. We are responsible for the Air ticket for his vacation and to fly you back.

* Kindly note that the discount mentioned is only applicable when you purchase any items, kits in the various department like Fitness Salon, Spa etc as there are shops in every department. Usage of all facility and meals onboard are free.

* The assessment period is not a probation period; it is a time to time assessment of your work performance which would be taken into consideration to help you improve or stabilize your work performance.

* We have land based activities when the ship docks and everyone is expected to participate from the shore parties, barbecue nights, sport activities and etc, we have certain land and safety rules which you will find attached with the Hard copies of your contract documents to be sent to you.

* You are covered 100% medically from the start until the end of your contract.

* As part of your contract benefit, be informed that you shall have free & full use of all recreation facilities on board the ship and other facilities.

11. Other Terms and Conditions:

Your employment is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the collective agreement with the P&O Cruise Line Ltd Gold Anchor Service, as well as other applicable policies approved by the International Transport Federation of Seafarers which you shall find in your contract documents to be sent to you.

By accepting this offer, you also acknowledge and agree that you shall abide by the following terms and conditions, and that such terms and conditions are reasonable:

Confidentiality: During the course of your employment with the P&O Cruise Line Ltd, you will be entrusted with confidential and proprietary information. You agree that such information will not be released or divulged, whether directly or indirectly, unless authorized by P&OCL policy, required by law, or through the express written consent of the Management of P&O Cruise Line given under the hand of the proper officer with authority to give such consent.

Pending the time you receive Hard copies of Contract documents which would be sent to you, I would ask that you review the contents of this offer carefully. If the terms of employment as set out in this agreement are acceptable to you, please sign and date and return a copy to the attention of the HRM within 24 hours.
