Eat ice cream with you.
Make love to you passionately.
Go to a museum together.
Talk to each other using only body language.
Give you space when you need it.
Accept you totally and completely - flaws and all (I already do).
Discuss current events in a heated debate.
Have you see the error of your ways from aforementioned heated debate and make mad, torrid love to you, in the midst of all that passion.

Treat you like my Lancelot.
Go on a road trip across America.
Count thunder together during a thunderstorm.
Envelop you in my soul.
Cook your favorite meal/meals.
Know you better than you know yourself.
Go to a Renaissance Fair.
Plant a tree in our yard together.
Look over at you

Be the one you come to for that comfort and holding.
Wipe away the days' stresses and issues, with just one hug/kiss.
Grow old with you.

As a basic foundation I think there should be respect for each other’s freedom (though to make a partnership work, I believe that we have to freely chosen to take our partner and our family into consideration when we make choices), honesty and openness, I don’t believe that ‘little white lies’ are harmless or kind, I believe that honesty, even if we don’t want to hear what someone has to say, is always more kind in the long run.

About John New to Los Angeles and anxious to explore the immediate area and places beyond. I am a sweet and caring person, who treats people the way I would want to be treated! I love life and try to live it to the fullest! .I enjoy learning, experiencing new things, and exploring new places. I am well traveled and have a great appreciation for different cultures and people. I value commitment, kindness, and honesty. I would rather give than take. I enjoy watching and playing sports. I play tennis, ski, and bike in the spring and summer. I enjoy virtually all kind of sports. I love going out for romantic dinners and trying different kind of food. I like movies, and I love to dance! People use to tell me that I have a great sense of humor and I am fun to be with. I am open, honest and passionate about anything I do. I am looking for a kind, energetic, and intelligent woman who is looking for a partner to continue to explore and enjoy life with. I enjoy all types of music though I lean more towards Classic Rock. I love taking long walks, lounging around in my most comfortable clothes, reading a good book! If you're interested in finding out more...write me! I am looking for a woman who is caring, sweet and funny! I love a woman who can laugh, he has to be able to enjoy all that life has to offer.

I know not your age, nor the color of your skin, hair, or eyes, but I anxiously await the answers to all. I prefer substance over physical beauty, integrity over wealth, passion over perfection, humility over ego, tolerance over prejudice, good news over gossip, committed over casual, adventure over drama, chivalry over chauvinism, supportive over suppressive, a closed Match.com account over an open one, and long, slow passionate kisses over just about anything.

When you dig a well in shallow ground, you'll find water quickly, but the source will be just as shallow as the well and your supply will dissipate just as fast. If you want your supply to be enduring, then you must forgo the shallow and dig deep, moving beyond the easy and obvious to that which may not initially seem as appealing and requires more work, but will in the long run replenish you day in and day out 'ever after'.

All told, I am looking for one special woman - the right one - to experience, enjoy, and share life to its fullest.

That is on his profile which I is still up. Today, all of a sudden he finally put his daughter, McKenzie. Now all of the the numbers he gave me don't work. Looks like I scared him off with the last talk.

I have pictures, I'm still figuring out how to post them.

Says he's a civil engineer; Then he's called to go to Canal Walks, a South African Mall which does exist. On his trip to South Africa, he's made to check his hand luggage in at Heathrow, in it was cell phone, laptop, camera. There are also other suitcases for his daughter. Both of his parents are dead, has 7 year-old daughter. Her mother died in a car accident, looking for a mother for her and a wife for himself.

We were in heated conversations and I received 12 "love letters" from him in 6 days. Plus text messages.

I'm not sure what the next step is, it feels like I've been raped.

I'm sorry you were targeted by this scammer, though glad you haven't lost money to him.

There is a link in my signature line for victims--it should help you with the next steps. The most important is to drop this scammer and cut off all avenues of contact.

For google searchability: the email address for this scammer is [email protected]

Welcome to Scamwarners.

There's no need to obscure scammers' email addresses, as we want them to be findable on Google. There's always the chance he will get more spam as a result, but we won't lose any sleep over that. :)

I am amused to have found this site as I have been googling contents of emails sent to my via a major dating website in Sydney Australia. All the verses posted by you are contained within my e-mails and have been found on various sites on google. I even have photographs of this man and his son; the son is supposedly 5 and the mother died. of leukaemia 2 years back. I also received a detailed bio of this person and other photographs of someone whom I assume is not even aware that his photos are being used in this way. This person was supposedly in Sydney, says he's a civil engineer and had to leave immediately for a week in London with family for xmas and then on to the Phillippines for a one month contract (worth millions.. ;-)). I was given a Sydney number with only an answering machine response and also a mobile number starting with 4470... which I called and on two occasions it range but with no answer... the calling time alone cost about $5-8AUD... ;-) I did in fact receive a phone call on Xmas day from someone with a French accent (this person says he is of English mother and French father) but was away at the time... the messenger just said hello and gave a "kiss". He is supposedly returning to Australia after his one month contract..
Interestingly I also received contact through another major more "spiritual" dating site in Sydney but from someone who says he is currently in the UAE but was supposedly based in the USA (but says he has a property in Byron Bay, NSW, which he inherited), is a geologist and working on a major mining contract. Funnily enough though the family history provided was different in actual content the style was very similar and again with photographs of a different male, but whose professions of love, etc, with someone he has never met were almost identical...
Not sure if I can post their supposed details, on here, just for others to see and possibly identify, but I would actually like to play along to see where it leads, very funny me thinks...
My photo on both sites is the same :laugh-s:
I was thinking that perhaps this individual (these individuals) pretend to be either male or female, request photos from contacts that they can use to post under names taken from the net, as I have googled both names provided to me and some such persons actually do seem to exist and are engaged in the stated professions but bear no physical resemblance when located on search engines, to those in the photos sent to me. It was requested that I send further images of myself, etc and more info on my life, which I have not done as I suspect I may end up on some website under someone elses identity as well...
Interested to hear from other with similar experiences...

Welcome Shireen,

Sounds like you have correctly identified a couple of scammers.

also a mobile number starting with 4470... which I called and on two occasions it range but with no answer... the calling time alone cost about $5-8AUD

44-70 numbers are redirect numbers. The calls were most likely being forwarded to the scammer's untraceable cell phone. They are premium rate numbers, which is why the charges were so high.

I did in fact receive a phone call on Xmas day from someone with a French accent

The scenario you are describing is typical of an African scammer, and it is most likely the scammer who made the call. Depending on the part of Africa the scammer comes from, his educational background, etc, an African scammer's accent may vary considerably, and may very well pass as French, especially on a short call or message.

Please do post the details, including the name/email address the scammer is using and his early emails to you, as these emails are often scripts that will be reused even when the scammer changes names.

would actually like to play along to see where it leads, very funny me thinks...

This is what is known as scambaiting. Assuming your dating accounts are linked to some of your real-life information, we strongly recommend against doing this, and encourage you so simply drop all contact with the scammer. While the scammer is highly unlikely to show up on your doorstep (in fact, in spite of his claims, Australia is about the last place he is likely to be), he can cause you some headaches if he is angry that you played with him. You can go to our sister site, 419eater.com to learn about how to bait safely (and for some tools that can take that baiting to a new level).

I was thinking that perhaps this individual (these individuals) pretend to be either male or female, request photos from contacts that they can use to post under names taken from the net

That requires more planning and advance effort than most scammers are willing to put forward. More often than not, depending on who they are targeting, the scammer simply surf modeling sites, social networking sites such as facebook, and/or porn sites for photos and/or video they want to use. Then they just download and save the photos/video. Some scammers copy names and basic info from real people, while others just make up their own names.

Some scammers do actually create facebook pages for their fake characters, so seeing a facebook page in the person's name doesn't necessarily mean there is a legitimate person with that name/location either.

He said his name was Corby Maupin. He is on a dating site called OkCupid.com. Within 12 hours this man wrote me a very pornographic email. He also started professing his undying love within 12 hours of making first contact he said he was in Africa protecting the girls that were kidnapped over there. But he failed when he said that he been over there for seven months that was the first red flag the second red flag :=) when I searched the love letters is when I found out that they were from love letters.com. This man stated that he had written these while he was on patrol. Anyone with any common sense knows that armed soldier in a country of unrest is not going to be around a laptop or a cell phone :laugh-s:

So for anyone with contacts on OkCupid there is a ring of young Africans that is doing this

Welcome to the forums Beverlyjean.
re: So for anyone with contacts on OkCupid there is a ring of young Africans that is doing this

Yes you have summed it up very well. Many african scam artists belong to scam syndicates operating out of internet cafѐs or a telecentre. The sooner this so called internet dating is banned, the better.
