The following two e-mail address are being used as contact points for people looking for work servicing computers:-

pwc16safe@googlemail.com

The details have been seen listed on employment listing sites such as craigslist and gumtree and have been removed but not before a substantial number of people have seen it and replied.

Make no mistake, this is a fake cheque scam.

The scammer will agree a price for the job with you, and will send you a cheque for your fee plus an amount for you to send on to a fictitious shipping agent in order that you can receive delivery.

He will tell you to cash the check and send the "extra money" to the 'shipping agent' by Western Union .

This check or money order will be fake, even if your bank cashes the check or tells you that it "cleared"!!!!

The bank will find out in a few days or weeks that the check is fake, and will make you pay all of the money back, even the money you sent to the scammer. You may be arrested for cashing a bad check and possibly money laundering.

Now we have seen the reply, we can conclude that the scam is a "Representative / Fake Cheque" Scam.

The scam involves the victim receiving a fake cheque from a seemingly third party, cashing it and sending money back to the scammer.

The victims bank will find out in a few days or weeks that the check is fake, and will make them pay all of the money back, even the money they have sent to the scammer. The bank might even have them arrested for cashing a bad check and even money laundering.
